About Chess Pieces: Exquisitely crafted in sheesham & boxwood, this reproduction chess set is the exact reproduction of the set designed by US artist Arthur Elliott for ANRI, Italy in the 70ies. Interestingly the design of this chess set is inspired by “Space age concept”. Chess pieces look like a rockets, sputniks, and satellites. Each chess piece represents a “Space Age” idea, king looks like a space station, queen > space ship, bishop > missile, knight > satellite, rook > radar and pawn > rocket. Quality of chess pieces are top-notch and pleasure to hold, king is 4.25″ high with a base diameter of 1.3″. All chess pieces are with green felt base pads.
Chess Pieces Weight: 680 grams approx. (23.98 oz). Please note that the weight in the set is added manually so the final weight of the set can vary by plus or minus (±) 10%.

Made in Spain – This classic 17.7″ wooden chess board is finest of the chess board a chess player or collector can have. Crafted from Walnut (dark) and Maple (light) veneer* this chess board features a Matte finish. This chess set comes printed with algebraic notation.
